My friend has just spotted two monarchs and one humming bird feeding on a orange flowering plant which she described as a marigold. (This is in California) This is great news. I live in Illinois and know that this migration is better than in the past. I still have my feeder out for the hummers and know that the Monarchs that I raised are on the way to Mexico. It was worth it to gather the milkweed daily and I will attempt to do it again next year.
