Was outside burning a burn pile. Noticed a monarch flying around near me. Eventually it few over into the smoke from the fire and then down close to the fire. I was worried it'd get injured, but as soon as it got close to the fire it flew up high and then away. Over the course of another few minutes, two more monarchs did the exact same thing -- flew into the smoke, then near the fire, then high and away.
