While mapping milkweed also surveyed monarchs, viceroy and queen butterflies encountered at the Whitfield Wildlife Conservation Area. Monarchs nectaring, mating, sparring. Lots of flowering sunflowers, Horsetail milkweed (Asclepias subverticillata)and other late season wildflowers in bloom.
