Adult emerged from chrysalis today, it pupated on Sept 20 on a broke dieing milkweed. I put the milkweed plant in water and placed in a protected site outside. The monarch is still hanging on the chrysalis when it got dark. I don't expect it to fly tomorrow, it is only going to be 49 degrees. I placed a potted floss flower and verbena by it. Hopefully it will fly away on Wednesday when it is in the 50's. I hope it makes it some place warm fast.
