Third grade students at Gotsch Intermediate planted 80 Red Emperor Tulip bulbs yesterday. We planted 1/3 of them 7" deep for our Journey North test garden. We also planted 1/3 of the bulbs 5" deep and the other 1/3 9" deep to see if depth of planting affected emergence.
