Was in yard when I saw a monarch fly right toward me and then land on the ground. It was a male who had just emerged from a chrysalis somewhere in the yard. I brought him in, tested for OE and removed a piece of chrysalis from his back, then released him. Sunny day about 62 degrees, no wind. He has mexican sunflower, hyssop and tropical milkweed to nectar from.
