The last two days I've witnessed a remarkable drop in the numbers here in Willis. Until this week we had about a dozen still visiting the few feeders remaining up. Yesterday I counted only 3 at the back feeders. One little female appeared completely confused. She circled a budding rose at least ten times with here beak stuck down inside it. She was literally pivoting inside the Rose. She finally found the Cestrum blooms. I never saw her visit a single feeder. I've included a lonely looking female Ruby in the pix. We have both been wondering if the Rufous will return to spend the Winter here as they did the last 3 years.
