I think my last sightings report was on 10/11/14. I have had just a few monarchs here & there.I was away from my place from 10/17 thru 10/19, not sure what happened while I was away.
10/20/14: I went to town in morning saw a monarch heading south on st hwy 425.
At my home garden. I have 5. Although there are 2 males (one has a tag) that want to mate any female.Females aren't interested at all, they are just trying to feed.
10/21 - 10/23: down to 3 now the 2 males are still trying to mate with any female. I'm trying to net the tagged male,he could be one I raised here.Haven't had any luck yet.
Our weather has been pleasant, highs in low 80's,low's down in 50's. with north winds returned, hoping to see more monarchs. Weather is going to warm up into the mid 80's for several day starting this weekend. My goldenrod is just about past its prime, but blue mist flower is in good shape. There's some asters still good as well.
