10 adult Monarchs roosting on Groundsel Bush on North side of RT 30A near Allen Lake.
Other adults flying along RT 30 A
Monarchs were most likely resting I would guess. It was 2:45 pm. A bit early to be selecting a night time spot. Bright sunshine, North wind a rather cool day.
In years past I have observed quantities of adults at Henderson Beach S.P. In Okaloosa county in fall. Groundsel tree seems to be a favorite resting / nectaring perch for fall groups. We also do have large numbers of Gulf Frits now.
