Bald Eagle
Sightings report image

Date: 10/23/2014

Number: 1

On my drive to town noted the adult Bald Eagle perched on top branch of a tree near the highway looking over the Eastern Branch of the Delaware River. Did not have a chance to stop and take a photo at that time. Upon my return towards home, I did not see the Eagle in the same tree. I was able to pull off the road a little bit further up the road. Stopped and looked around other trees. Spotted the Black and White of the Bald on a dead limb across the river. Took a photo with my zoom and noticed the Eagle had caught a fish and was in the process of eating. Blurry photo as today a steady light rain, temperature around 45 degrees.
