We drove south to the tip of the Delmarva Peninsula and observed about 6 migrating monarchs per hour as we drove. We went to Kiptopeke State Park and observed at least that many as we walked the trails. We saw the most monarchs on the beach along the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, where they were nectaring on goldenrod before they made the trip across the water
