Tired-looking adult monarch butterfly arrived from a northeast direction and rested on our maibox. It then flew to the birdbath to sip water and rest some more. Then it visited the milkweed flowers on the patio. Before it flew off into the trees, I think I was able to see a small number 17 on one wing.
