Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 11/01/2014

Number: 2

The juvenile male Ruby-throated (RTH) hummingbird is gone. He was quite chubby and probably moved on. He has been replaced by a new adult male who is using the hummingbird feeder hung in the Cassia Tree. The other adult male is perching and guarding his garden area on the east side of the house. (I think he's been here awhile, since perhaps the beginning of October if not earlier.)

A cold front is blowing through, so it appears more birds are moving further south.
