Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/01/2014

Number: 1

On October 24th, we observed a faded monarch laying eggs on our milkweed. This morning I found five 3 days old larva on our plants. This is a very interesting observation and one we are going to investigate further next year with tagging. This is the second year in a row where we observe very late season egg laying.
