Temperatures have dropped over the past week with biting winds out of the NNW. Deciduous trees are dropping leaves and changing colors. Deer are grouping up in large groups of does with a few bucks joining them. Raccoons have been out in greater numbers by the observation of roadkill. Corn crops have been harvested and soybean harvest has begun. Bald Eagles have been sighted in nearby areas. Persimmons are heavy on the trees and become sweet with first frost last week. Milkweed plant seed pods are ripening and releasing seeds. Blue Jays and Crows are grouping (murders) and targeting pecan trees and groves.
