Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 10/31/2014

Number: 1

Halloween in Salem was a bit cool, but not too cold to plant our 300+ tulips. All of the 6th graders, here at Woodbury School, planted a tulip in the one of the TWO test gardens... We have so many students participating that we need two giant gardens to plant the bulbs. The air temperature ranged from 50*F in the morning to 60*F in the afternoon. The ground temp held at around 55*F all day. Overcast skies covered the town, but we didn't have any rain for planting or trick or treating! Most of the leaves are off of the trees now, and some snow flakes are in the forecast... We can't wait for spring!;)
