The eagle's nest is very easy to spot from the road. The road is known as IL RT 2 along the Rock River in Winnebago Co IL. Every time we travel to Rockford on this route ( and the leaves are off the trees) I spot the eagles. Some times I can see 2 adults in or on side of nest. I have seen eaglets in nest, too. I'd like to stop & take photos, but usually traffic is too fast & not much of a shoulder on this road.
