On a steep hill surrounded (and hopefully protected) by spiky shrubs, we planted our tulip bulbs. We tried to find a spot where the deer would not find them and that would be where we could remember to check on them often. It was a cool (50 degrees) and gray fall day - we can't wait to see them sprout at the beginning of Spring.
