Queen Butterflies Roosting for the Night in Retama Tree. This took place at 5 pm on the trees outside the entrance to the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas. It was my first time seeing this awesomeness. Thank You, Lou, for having me look up!

Editor's Note: Texas butterfly expert Mike Quinn commented: "This is the largest Queen roost that I believe I've ever seen. It occurred to me that leaves of Retama are somewhat like those of the pine trees they roost in in central Mexico."
