The Lethbridge Nature Society had its annual Snow Goose chase to Tyrrell Lake on Nov. 8th. Tyrrell Lake is 60km SE of Lethbridge and a major resting/staging area for Snow Geese and other waterfowl in the spring and fall. We saw between 70,000 and 80,000 Snow Geese during our outing. It was one of our most successful to day and we had 18 participants experience this awesome sight. Photographs can't do justice to this and certainly don't capture the sounds that go along with it. One must experience it to really appreciate it.
