It is November 18, 2014, and I have a monarch forming a chrysalis. Because of freezing weather, I have brought it inside along with several milkweeds that have about 8 1st instars. Assuming they reach maturity I will tag and release (Monarchwatch tags) it is my intention to release them on Dauphin Island, AL where they have known to winter-over, just in case it is too late for them to migrate to Mexico.
