Mrs. Henderson's 2nd grade class planted our tulips today! Some of Mrs. Johnson's class planted their bulbs. The other classes will get their bulbs planted Monday hopefully! We have to get them in the ground before the end of the day Tuesday 11/25/14 because that is the last day of school before Thanksgiving Break! It has taken much longer than expected because the ground was so hard. The cold temperatures and snow caused the ground to freeze. I wanted the kids to have more to do with the garden this year. Last year much of the work was done for us by the grounds crew. The kids have taken a long time to prepare the garden and it has been a difficult task for some. I feel like I have learned a lot this year and it will make future years much smoother.
