Bald Eagle

Date: 11/30/2014

Number: 1

At 3:25pm, I saw an adult bald eagle fly over the lake and perch in a tree at Hudson Beach. This park is located on the north side of Lake Monona, about one mile east of the Yahara River. It was cold, around 20 degrees F, and sunny. We don't see too many eagles here in Madison, but we have lots of rabbits, and there are also many muskrats that live in the lakes here, so the eagles should be able to hunt successfully.
