Throughout the day, Monarchs were appearing in our yard, stay awhile and then head out. Sometimes they were in pairs and others, alone. They would spend about half an hour and then one by one or in pairs would eventually fly off in a northwesterly direction. A couple headed northeasterly, but were probably headed towards some woods near our house. They were feeding on milkweed, pentas, vincas and zinnias. It was sunny with temp around 70 - 72 degrees.
