Driving to work this morning, had my daughter in the car. I was on Rt 72 between Parsons and St. George. At the point where the road is just a little above the valley and the tops of the trees are easily seen (especially this time of year when they are bare). I just happened to glance to the treeline and saw the bald eagle sitting near top of the tree on a craggy limb. I couldn't believe my eyes. I backed up in the road and told my daughter to look at the tree to make sure I really saw what I thought I saw. She too, was so excited when she said, "it's a bald eagle!" We could not get a picture because we were in the middle of the road. It probably wouldn't have turned out anyway as the dark feathers part of the bird were nearly the same color as the tree it was sitting on. My daughter even asked, "how in the world did you see that ?" I feel so honored to have seen it.. just like it was meant for me to. I am still SO EXCITED. Wow, wow, wow.
