There was a large flock of birds in our yard mid-morning. A group would descend on a specific tree and at the slightest noise, they would simply scatter. The birds are large and a very bright red.

I did see a similar flock earlier in the week on a nearby soccer field that is being re-seeded.

This is the first flock of robins I have ever seen in the area - and I have lived here for 17 years.
