I (the teacher) did not personally observe these eagles. My father received an email describing the observations from residents of the lake he lives on in Trafalgar, IN. I read the emails that the observers wrote and paraphrased below.
Two people observed two mature bald eagles in the morning. They were feeding on a deer who went down on the ice (covering the lake). They returned throughout the day to feed on it. In the middle of the day, two immature bald eagles were also seen in the same vicinity. So, 4 bald eagles were seen on the same day. One observer sent this picture.
