The flock was taking a rest in our small ornamental pear tree. We just had a large snowstorm yesterday so their lovely orange/red breasts stood out against the white background. They flew around there for a good half hour. I kept recounting but it was difficult to get an accurate count. The temperature is in the high thirties at this time.
