Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/31/2015

Number: 25

Dr. Fred Helleiner, retired Geography professor who lives in Presqu'ile Provincial Park near Brighton, Ontario - residential area - notes the following report. Fred produces a weekly park bird report for this Important Bird Area (www.friendsofpresquile.on.ca):

There is, as usual, a flock of robins in the Park this winter, feeding on the invasive buckthorn. When all of that is finally removed, will they continue to winter here? The high count was 25 birds a few weeks ago. On Saturday I estimated about 20 opposite the government dock (check-in area for visitors from across the lake in the U.S.A.).
