The mass migration is beginning to ebb here in eastern West Virginia. About half of the robins have departed to other locales. However, the number of hawks that have been hunting the robins is amazing. Hawks and Harriers were abundant and the scattered remains of robins are reminders of natural selection. So far I've spotted many Coopers Hawks, and Northern Harriers in area.
