January was a huge month for the monarch catapillars. 50+ on the milkweed bushes, they ate them leaving only stalks. We counted over 20 crystalis and have watched as they mature. The first hatch was a day ago from the January catapillars(we think). Good thing we had more milkweed in bloom and we have planted seasonal Pinks for nectar for the adults. We are from Michigan and winter here, and are blessed to see the Monarchs in January and Feb.
