I was traveling west on I86 (formally Rte 17) between exits 65 & 66, and saw a bald eagle perched on the top of a tree next the the Susquehanna River. By the time I realized what I was seeing, there was too much traffic to try and pull over to observe/take pictures. I was thrilled to see the sight of the bald eagle, since I did not think there were any in our region. I am also curious as to why this majestic bird would not have migrated south.
