Humming bird sighted in my back yard last week (2900' elevation) in the Sierra Nevada foothills. It was looking for nectar but not having any luck on the bush she was inspecting. Luckily some flowering quince has begun to bloom and a plum tree this weekend. This is very early for our area but it has been an unusually warm winter.
