I was surprised and delighted because I have been living here for 15 years and never saw a Robin in my yard, let alone a huge group. They came flying in from the north and landed across the street in my neighbors pine tree. Wave after wave about 9 at a time. They rested for a few minutes and then flew off to the next big tree. For several days after I had the pleasure of watching them root around for insects in my yard( no lawn) and drink from my bird baths. There were10 every morning for 2 weeks. There are fewer now.
