It was a beautiful day in Feb-2/14. Sitting on the porch and heard the telltale sound of those tiny wings. Turned and looked and even though it was there, couldn't hardly believe it! I had left my feeder up in the fall all through the winter and it was drinking it! Thinking it was only a fluke, I cleaned the feeder and made some fresh sugar water and it returned on 2/15! Amazing! I've never seen one this early in this part of Texas! Wish I had time to make a picture! I'm not sure what type it was, but it seemed to be colored a bit differently from the native ones to our area.
