I first noticed a flock of robins in the bushes behind my house yesterday morning as the wind was howling, the temperature was in the single digits and the snow was blowing. I had put out my morning sunflower seed that the other birds were eating. I was stunned to see Robins in February. then they flew to the front of the house into the holly next to the front covered porch and sat for several minutes in the holly and on the porch in the sun while I had the door open. They were within reach of me and I think they felt the heat coming out of the house. I brought some seed out to the front for them also.It was such a treat to see them. Then 3 bluebirds, two beautiful bright males and one female joined them in the bushes. I closed the door and went to get my camera and they were gone. the robins were in the back again today. I also put out strawberries for them.
