Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 02/08/2015

Number: 1

She was at a feeder in my yard. Fred Dietrich, a bird bander from Florida banded her and identified her as a female black-chinned hummingbird on Feb. 6, 2015. I have been reporting to you since early November that a bird has been wintering in our yard and I've reported as ruby-throat because that is what I've observed in our area in past. She turned out to be a lady black-chinned. She has brought much joy.
