Hundreds of robins showed up this morning at my house. They are trying to eat berries and evergreen leaves. The ground is frozen solid and it is about 16 degrees right now... going down to -2 tonight. I have never seen robins arrive so early and it such extreme cold. I believe I see some younger ones in the group by their downy appearance...long before spring nesting season here.
