Robin (WAVE seen)
Sightings report image

Date: 02/06/2015

Number: 1

Robins love the wet swamp-like land around here and foraging in the grassy soft lawn for worms. We see flocks frequently or, several birds together and fairly often, a lone Robin.

Two days before a recent snow in North Carolina, February 2015, a Robin flew up to my suet cage hanging six feet or so from the ground, which is behavior I've never noticed with the Robins. They're most often on the ground or in the branches of trees.

We have had some pretty cold days this month, but I guess the pretty red-breasted winged friends are doing alright.
