Bald Eagle

Date: 02/25/2015

Number: 1

Saw a pair of Bald Eagles this morning! One mature possibly male and one juvenile. The adult eagle stayed perched in the trees across from river while the juvenile landed a few times, but was mostly in flight! The James River has been heavily iced over the last couple of weeks where we live! We have had snow on the ground for almost two weeks now! I worry about them having a good food supply! First time I have ever seen the eagle stay perched in the tree for a long period of time! Got a couple of photographs. They are not that clear, but can make out that he was looking in my direction! Lol! More than likely looking at the river for food source, anyway loved being able to observe him for such a long while! Debora Trent is very happy today, now just waiting for my sighting of the Owls I keep hearing!
