I saw for the first time in my life a male Painted Bunting on my bird feeder which was loaded with mixed wild bird food. I live on the Bohicket River on Johns Island, SC about 3 miles from the barrier islands of Kiawah and Seabrook. Wadmalaw Island is across the river from me. He was beauty. I saw him for a few days in a row then he disappeared.
