2014 peak on the Monarch Trail:
The 2 primary roost areas along the Monarch Trail were more promising this year than last--250 or more monarchs were counted on the 14th of September. The days that followed were cool and overcast, the monarchs moved to the south and west on the trees to be in the sun.
