I just spotted 2 male red winged blackbirds at out bird feeder in the front yard. They were feeding on the ground. The snow is melting and it is close to 50* today. This is my first sighting of the birds for this year.. I am feeling very encouraged about spring being nearby. I expect to see more as each day passes. I love seeing all the birds. Also, the American Goldfinches are readily turning yellow to mark the beginning of a new breeding season for them.
