The Robin was on a snowbank in downtown Reading MA and as I passed it on the sidewalk it flew into a nearby tree. It appeared to be a nice fat healthy one and the first I have seen this year. Yey, a sign that one heck of a New England winter is finally nearing its end! I think it may have been a female although its head may have just appeared to be a bit lighter due to the all of the salt still trapped in our snowbanks.
