Althougth i have observed them on and off throughout the winter, usually under conifers with a scarce amount of snow under them, they have really ramped up their presence in my neighborhood. LOTS in yards, washing in puddles, etc. Robins returning, and the inevitable skunks seem to be the best harbingers of spring around here.
