Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 03/09/2015

Number: 1

We looked at the data map in Journey north we noticed that most of the emerging tulips in the U.S. were in the southern part of our country. We predicted that our tulips might have emerged because of the data on the map and the weather we've had lately. We went to the garden to check on our tulips and we found out they had emerged! They were about 2 inches tall. The day we observed them the weather was 55F and the soil temperature was 50F. The sky was cloudy. We wrote and drew pictures in our Science Journals about our observations and predictions.
