Our class looked at the tulip data map in Journey North. We noticed that most of the emerging tulips were in the southern part of our country. We predicted that our tulips might have emerged because of the data on the map and the weather we've had lately. We went to the garden to check on our tulips and we found out they had emerged! Our tulips were between 2 and 3 inches tall. The day we observed them the weather was 66F and the soil temperature was 50F. The sky was partly sunny and there was a breeze. We wrote and drew in our science journals after we came in from the garden.
