Tulips EMERGED
Sightings report image

Date: 03/13/2015

Number: 1

We looked at the tulip data map in Journey North we noticed that most of the emerging tulips in the U.S. were in the southern part of our country. We went to the garden to check on our tulips and we found out they had emerged! Our tulips were between 2 and 3 inches tall. The day we observed them the weather was 51F and the soil temperature was 50F. The sky was cloudy and it was kind of rainy. We wrote and drew in our science journals after we came in from the garden.
