Along my 3.5 mile walk (staying with 1.5 miles of my home), I saw 5 groups of robins. Most were either single robins although I did see several in pairs. I also saw one group of 5 but no grouping larger than that. Most were singing or making sounds as they flew except for the group of 5 - they were silent.
The robin sounds that I have heard was the "Zeeeup" call. The ones that have seemed to take up residence around our house are solitary in nature, bright orange breast indicating a male. They are not the typical paired 'couples' one sees during the summer.
