Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/17/2015

Number: 1

Our first sighting of the spring: Altus and I were leaving Port Lavaca for some appointments in Victoria at 12:55 ... just south of town on TX35 before US87 a Monarch fly at us, up over the hood, and over the windshield cushioned by the air of the Tahoe ... it came from the south and was heading to the north. No details about the Monarch, it came right at us and just missed us.
